The Park is one of the destinations in Kenya that every tourist who visits Africa should not miss to go and experience the large number of Flamingos resided there plus many other bird species and wildlife species.
Especially for the tourists who like birding activity a lot (birders) will feel pride when they visit the Park because it is the best place in the world for viewing Flamingos in larger quantities which are over two millions in the Park and they will always be found at the shores of Lake Nakuru feeding on the algae at the lake.
The Baboon cliff is the best vantage point in the Park for viewing this large number of flamingos and the number of flamingos at the shores of Lake Nakuru will vary depending on water and food conditions.
The Park is situated at an area of 188 square kilometers and besides the millions of flamingos it is also a home to over 400 other bird species and many wildlife species including both the black and white rhinos.
The Park is so close to Maasai Mara reserve and thus it can be visited in one day as a circuit taking safari after viewing the large numbers of wildlife in Maasai Mara and then go into the Park and also view large numbers of Flamingos and other bird species.
Many other distinct residents in the Park include; African lions, cheetahs, leopards, huge pythons, Waterbucks, Rothschild giraffes and other notable bird species in the Park include; Goliath herons, hamerkops, kingfishers, African fish eagle, Verreaux’s eagle among others.
Accommodations here are of good quality and they include; Lakira camp, Mbweha safari camp, Lake Nakuru lodge, Sarova lion hill lodge, and others.
